The Ministry of Agriculture officially announces the approval of the Emirates to import live livestock from Egypt



Al-Qusayr, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, announced the approval of the United Arab Emirates to start importing live livestock from Egypt.


Al-Qusayr said that this comes less than a month after the UAE agreed to import table eggs, hatching eggs and chicks from Egypt, as part of the joint efforts between the two countries to streamline trade exchange between them in the field of trade of live animals and their products.



This comes according to an official letter received by the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, from the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, after reviewing the forms of the Egyptian veterinary health certificate for the export of live livestock: cows, goats, and sheep, to the United Arab Emirates, and that they meet all the required health requirements, and have them approved by the state UAE.


Dr. Abdel Hakim Mahmoud, head of the General Authority for Veterinary Services, said that according to the approval of the forms of Egyptian veterinary health certificates in the UAE, export operations will start from veterinary quarantines that have been determined in the conditions that have been agreed upon.


 Last month, the United Arab Emirates announced its approval to start importing chicks, hatching eggs and table eggs from Egypt, as well as processed meat from cows, sheep, goats and poultry, after the World Organization for Animal Health approved a number of Egyptian poultry facilities free of influenza. the birds
