Under the patronage of Major General Mahmoud Shaarawi, Minister of Local Development, the workshop to accelerate the local response to the population issue continues to be held in Cairo for the fourth day in a row, to hold its closing sessions in the presence of the population units and the National Council of Population and youth volunteers from five governorates, including Qalyubia, Muhammad Sawabi wrote under the patronage of Major General / Mahmoud Sharawy, Minister of Local Development And Major General / Abdel Hamid Al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, continued the capacity building workshop for the population work force implemented by the project to accelerate the local response to the population issue at the Ministry of Local Development, funded by the United Nations Fund (UNFPA), under the supervision of Dr. / Fatima Al-Zahraa Gil, a population development expert and project manager, and in the presence of heads and members Population units, the regional council and a number of young volunteers in the five governorates, based on the belief in the effective role of youth as a basic partner in working to solve all problems and issues, especially the population issue. The participation of Professor / Engy Jamal El-Din, the project advisor, who presented a lecture on the methods of follow-up and evaluation, the primary and secondary data and the difference between them, and how to prepare the necessary reports to follow up on the population issue according to accurate data prepared on a sound scientific basis, and the need to raise the level of cadres working in the governorates to activate the decentralization system in All sectors, on the basis that all governorates are essential partners in the implementation of all the projects that are carried out in them, and have an effective pivotal role in supporting decision-making and achieving Egypt 2030 vision for sustainable development, then Dr. / Soha Hassan, assistant professor of annual population statistics at Cairo University and consultant for data analysis By presenting and discussing the necessity of accurately preparing annual and quarterly population data and reports that are consistent with the science of statistics, which facilitates their analysis and extracting indicators from them in a good way that helps in taking effective measures to overcome the obstacles and problems encountered in resolving the population issue in each of the five governorates (Qalyubia and Giza Fayoum, Beni Suef and Minya) according to the local conditions of each governorate, and counting them to work on solving them. A generation of the population program management session to discuss indicators with unit heads and the possibility of engaging civil society institutions and NGOs to contribute to increasing resources to support the population issue in the areas of health, education and employment, especially youth and rural women employment, preventing school dropout, reducing illiteracy rates, child marriage, and other problems that affect me Population growth, in addition to providing and facilitating access to reproductive health and family planning services.
