Major General Abdel Hamid Al Hajjan, Governor of Qalyubia, and Dr. Gamal Al Said, President of Benha University, Eng. Hany Dahi, Chairman of the Nile Valley Company and former Minister of Transport, signed the approval of the initial designs for the Benha Specialist Hospital project

This came in the presence of Dr. Nasser Al-Jizawy, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Tamer Samir, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Gamal Sousa, supervisor of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, Dr. Mostafa El-Qady, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, leaders of the University Hospital, and members of the Board of Directors of the Nile Valley Company.

The governor of Qalyubia and the president of Benha University listened to an explanation from the Nile Valley Company about the implementation stages of the hospital project, the drawings, designs, specialties and medical services that it will provide to citizens

Major General Al-Hagan said that the project to establish the new specialized Benha University Hospital is an example of coordination and compatibility between the university and the governorate to serve the people of Qalyubia and the neighboring governorates.

"Al-Hagan" expressed his happiness at signing the preliminary designs for the project, which is one of the important projects under construction on the land of Qalyubia, as it is a new addition to the health system within the governorate.

The governor of Qalyubia indicated that the governorate had a large share in the national project to develop 31 hospitals across the country, as 5 central hospitals are currently being developed within the framework of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic's interest in the health of citizens, stressing that these projects have begun to bear fruit during the past period to serve the people Governorate

For his part, Dr. Jamal Al-Saeed stressed that the project to establish the specialized hospital is a medical achievement, and a qualitative leap for the medical service provided to the citizens of Qalyubia and the Delta governorates, indicating that today is an important day in the history of the university where the initial drawings of the project are approved.

Al-Saeed said that the new specialized university hospital project is a long-awaited dream for the university and for all the people of Qalyubia and the neighboring governorates, stressing that the university administration was keen before the end of 2020 to approve the primary project designs coinciding with the celebrations of Benha University over the passage of 15 years and its separation from Zagazig University.

Al-Saeed added that the university’s vision is to establish a distinguished medical edifice in the heart of the city of Banha that serves the people of the governorate and relieves the burden on the university hospital, which has gone through major development stages during the past periods without any interruption or influence of the health service for patients and those visiting university hospitals.

Dr. Adel Adawy, former Minister of Health and Head of the Committee for Guidance, Supervision and Follow-up on Implementation and Preparation of the Project, said that the project to establish a new university specialist hospital requires a general strategic plan according to the needs of Qalyubia Governorate, indicating that the project is a medical achievement and supportive of the health and educational service at Benha University

While Eng. Hani Dahi, Chairman of the Nile Valley Company, confirmed the company's commitment to what was agreed upon and the implementation of the project according to the international codes in the field of establishing university hospitals with the highest quality, indicating that the new hospital project is one of the mega projects that require concerted efforts to finance this medical edifice. Important

Dahi said that the Nile Valley Company had a positive role in assisting the Ministry of Health in rehabilitating and developing more than 25 hospitals and 120 health units at the governorate level. This is the state’s confidence in the company's performance for health projects.

For his part, Dr. Muhammad Saeed, the University's engineering consultant, added that the new specialized Benha University Hospital is being built with a total of about 64115 m 2, which is 2 basement, ground and 7 recurring basements and includes all medical specialties, indicating that the specifications of the project were taken into account according to the binding codes and the needs set by the committee The problem consists of the president of the university, the dean of the faculty of medicine, the university hospital leaders and members of the faculty
