Breaking news 3 billion pounds to develop electricity distribution networks in the Giza network sectors of the South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company from June 2014 until October 2020




 

                                           Within the framework of the concern the state attaches to raising the level of service provided to the public of subscribers nationwide,

Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, explained the efforts of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy in its various companies to raise the efficiency of the electrical network and improve the level of performance in order to ensure the stability and continuity of the electrical supply in accordance with quality standards and reduce the periods of power outages and to face the continuous increase in electrical energy consumption and the expected loads in consumption patterns, Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, on the continued development of electricity distribution networks in the Giza network sectors of the South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company

And given the great attention paid by the political leadership and the continuation of comprehensive development processes in all governorates of Egypt and the directives to provide sound infrastructure, develop and raise the efficiency of electricity distribution networks in these governorates to meet the needs of development in the use of electric energy and achieve sustainable development,

In the range of Giza network sectors, which has about (4.3) million subscribers, the company has succeeded in achieving a number of achievements during the period from June 2014 to October 2020, including the implementation of expansion, replacement and renewal works at a total cost of (3) billion pounds to raise the efficiency of the electrical network in the governorate. And improving the service for subscribers during the period as follows:

Installing transformers of various capacities with 1,300 transformers.

Installing low voltage boxes with 2,600 boxes.

Laying medium voltage cables of different sectors with a total length of 2,800 km.

Laying low voltage cables of different sectors with a total length of 1450 km.

Laying medium voltage overhead lines, with a total length of 170 km.

Installation of medium voltage poles with 1,400 poles.

Laying down low voltage overhead lines with a total length of 465 km.

Installation of low voltage poles with 3800 poles.

- Rotating transformers of different capacities, with a number of 1650 transformers.

Replacement and renovation of 2235 low voltage funds.

Replacement and renewal of medium voltage cables of different sectors, with a total length of 1710 km.

Replacement and renewal of low voltage cables of different sectors with a total length of 660 km.

Replacing and renewing medium voltage overhead lines, with a total length of 1910 km.

Replacement and renewal of medium voltage poles with 3900 poles.

Replacement and renovation of low voltage overhead lines, with a total length of 3222 km.

Replacement and renewal of 13,710 low voltage poles.

In addition to the great interest in the processes of rehabilitating customer service centers (such as civil works - and digital automated systems), the company is working to expedite procedures through one-stop service.

In order to satisfy the customers by developing the services provided by the company, improving the level of service provided, and ensuring the continuity of nutrition with the highest quality while reducing the number and periods of breakdowns, the company's customer service centers have been developed where the customer service program in all departments of the company has been developed through the introduction of one-stop service to provide all services The company through it so that the subscriber deals with one window to obtain the service, by establishing more than one window in the same department to provide the service through it, where:

§ This system was applied in all departments of the company with (50) sub-departments

§ The timing of the performance of all the services provided by the company, which was agreed upon with the holding company and the rest of the distribution companies, was reviewed.

A department was also established to serve investors in the sectors of Giza networks in 6th of October City to serve the investors only in order to end the procedures of the investors whose investments fall within the scope of the company and to facilitate and reduce the procedures time to the maximum extent, as the maximum period of the documentary cycle for connecting the electric current was reduced to (18) days Which was praised by the World Bank during its visit to the Investors Service Department in 6th of October City

About the standardized reading program, which aims to reduce human errors by taking a picture of the counter on the ground to match it with the reading. The program was activated in all departments of the company with (50) sub-departments.

Regarding electronic payments (during the period from June 2014 until October 2020), the number of electronic payments for mechanical and digital meters within the scope of the company reached (2.2 million) payments with a total of about (580 million) pounds.

With regard to the position of the judicial seizure and the reports of the theft of the current (during the period from June 2014 until October 2020), an amount of about 1.6 billion pounds has been collected for an amount of electrical energy estimated at (580) million kWh in the Giza network sectors, and campaigns are being intensified Inspection for theft of the current.

Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, affirmed the speedy implementation of development plans while maintaining high quality and raising the level of service and the electrical network, and stressed the importance of solving citizens' problems and identifying their causes to avoid their recurrence in the future, while taking all precautionary measures to confront the emerging corona virus within the framework of measures. The public authorities carried out by the state agencies and the Egyptian government to maintain the safety of workers in a way that does not affect the proper functioning and quality of work, with an emphasis on the optimal use of available resources to achieve sustainable growth.
