Abd al-Hamid al-Hagan, Governor of Qalyubia, continued this morning, Saturday morning, the maintenance work for Kafr al-Jazzar Bridge, which is carried out under the supervision of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges, in the presence of Engineer / Ali Abdel Sattar, President of Banha City and the Qalubia Traffic Department and the supervising engineer by the General Authority for Roads and Bridges
Maintenance work began at midnight on Friday, as the potholes at the beginning of the bridge will be removed from both directions from the direction of Kafr El-Jazzar and Batta, which used to cause traffic congestion and congestion inside the bridge, in addition to treating the iron joints and creating a sidewalk in the middle of the bridge to prevent the circulation of cars from inside the bridge, which was It caused traffic congestion, as well as scraping and re-paving of the bridge
Al-Hajjan directed the fast completion of the maintenance work to the bridge on the specified date, and it should be noted that it was decided to completely close the bridge from Thursday evening 19 November 2020 until Thursday evening 26 November 2020, but the bridge will be available to pedestrians during the closure period
It is worth noting that the Governor had previously directed, in coordination with Mr. Brigadier General / Abdel-Azim Muhammad, the Director of Qalubia Traffic, to provide alternatives to the car route for citizens, as the route to and from Kafr al-Jazzar will be through the agricultural road until the completion of the maintenance work of Kafr al-Jazzar Bridge, with the commitment of the Public Roads Authority And bridges to put guide boards for citizens
