Al-Atrash Association celebrates the birthday of "Asmahan" in the October 6 Club

 


The Musician Lovers Society, Farid Al-Atrash, headed by artist Adel Al-Sayed, celebrates the birthday of the artist “Asmahan's voice,” which corresponds to November 25, 1917, in cooperation with the October 6 Sports Club headed by Counselor Abdel Nasser Khattab, Chairman of the Club’s Board of Directors, at 7 pm on Thursday the 26th. This November, at the club ballroom.


The celebration program includes the screening of a documentary film entitled "A Melody That Has Never Been Made" about the life story of the artist "Asmahan" with the voice of the musician Farid Al-Atrash, the artist Youssef Wahbi and Prince Fouad Al-Atrash, directed by Adel Al-Sayed, and the ceremony includes a variety of masterpieces of the artist Asmahan and musician Farid Al-Atrash, singing It has a constellation of male and female singers, and a number of poets recite their poems, supervised by Dr. Nabil Kotaite.


It is noteworthy that Asmahan produced 72 songs and two films, namely “Victory of Youth” with musician Farid al-Atrash in 1941 and “Love and Revenge” with artist Youssef Wahbi in 1944, and during the filming of the film “Love and Revenge,” she asked the artist Youssef Wahbi, the producer of the film, to travel to Ras El-Bar. To spend a relaxing period, Asmahan went to Ras El-Bar on Friday morning, June 14, 1944, with a friend of hers named Mary Qalada, and on the way the driver lost control of the car, so the car veered and fell into the sea, where Asmahan and her friend were not killed.
