In continuation of the efforts and plan of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to strengthen the Egyptian grid for electricity transmission, two contracts were signed this morning between the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company and the Madkour Projects Company, where:
The first contract includes the construction of a transformer station Toshka (3) 220/66/22 kV capacity (2 x 175 + 5 x 40) MVA of the gas insulated type (GIS) with a turnkey system including the 175 MVA transformers. A, 40 MVA, spare parts, special tools and test equipment.
The contracted value is about 367 million Egyptian pounds, with an implementation period of about (10) months from the date of the acceptance notification issued on 11/11/2020.
The second contract includes the implementation of the line connecting the Toshka transformer station (3) by opening the circuit High Dam / Toshka (2) (d / k) and (Medicom / Toshka 2) d / k on the station, voltage of 220 kV, with a turnkey system of length of Approximately 2 x 25 km
The total value of the contract is about 125 million pounds, with an implementation period of about (4) months from the date of notification of acceptance.
Such actions confirm the directives of the President of the Republic, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to strengthen the electrical network in the various governorates of Egypt, and within the framework of the huge efforts made by the electricity and renewable energy sector to develop electricity transmission networks in the various governorates of Egypt within the plan to raise the quality of the electrical supply provided at the level of the Republic, while taking All precautionary measures to confront the new Corona virus within the framework of the general measures taken by state agencies and the Egyptian government to maintain the safety of workers in a way that does not affect the proper functioning and quality of work, with an emphasis on the optimal use of available resources to achieve sustainable growth

Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, explained the efforts of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy in its various companies to raise the efficiency of the electrical network and improve the level of performance in order to ensure the stability and continuity of the electrical supply in accordance with quality standards and reduce the periods of power outages and to face the continuous increase in electrical energy consumption and the expected loads in consumption patterns, with Take all precautionary measures to confront the emerging corona virus,
In this regard, in the West Bank sector, one of the sectors of the South Delta Electricity Distribution Company, the number of engineering units for this sector is (6) engineering. The total number of subscribers in the sector is about (985 thousand) subscribers, of whom there are (216 thousand) prepaid subscribers during the period July 2020 until October 2020 Executing expansion and replacement works to raise the efficiency of the governorate's electrical network and improve service for subscribers with investments amounting to about 5 million pounds as an investment plan and an ambitious plan where:
The total number of distribution boards, medium voltage (56) panels.
The total length of the overhead line network reached a medium voltage (1190) km.
The total length of the underground cable network reached a medium voltage (2000 km).
The total length of the overhead lines network, low voltage (3350) km.
The total length of the underground cables reached a low voltage (250) km.
The total number of transformers reached (4091), with a total capacity of (1560) m. F.A.
· (12) km were added between ground cables and overhead lines on the medium and low voltages, (14) transformers with a capacity of (8.4) m. FA during the month of September 2020.
The total implementation of third-party projects during the period from July 2020 to October 2020 amounted to (18) million pounds.
The number of service centers in cities and villages to serve subscribers is about (31) centers.
The development of the services provided by the company has reduced the average holiday time in order to achieve customer satisfaction.
In order to ensure the continuity of the electrical supply to the company's customers, central maintenance teams were formed in the company's sectors with (4) teams in the western sector of the West, with a total of (36) individuals, with all maintenance teams and eliminating faults provided with the number and tasks of maintenance, safety and occupational health.
Regarding the records of the judicial seizure in the western sector of the West, the number of judicial seizure records during the month of September 2020 reached about (471) minutes, with a total value of about (140 thousand) pounds.
It is worth noting that the western sector includes the engineering of (Tanta 1, Tanta 2, Tanta Center, Kafr El Zayat, Basyoun, and Qutour)
Dr. Muhammad Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, emphasized the interest that the electricity sector attaches to raising the level of service and the electrical network, and stressed the importance of stabilizing the electrical supply and repairing all emergency faults in all regions.
He also stressed the need to pay attention to raising the level of performance in the different sectors and departments of the companies, and Shaker also stressed the interest in activating all mechanisms for accurate readings, emphasizing the activation of the unified reading program, and intensifying efforts in inspection to confront the thefts of electric current.

As a continuation of the periodic follow-up of the electronic platform for electricity services launched by the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy On the first of this July, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Muhammad Shaker received a report explaining the statistics that the electronic platform received,
The report indicated that since the platform was activated until November 16:
§ The platform receives about 60,000 visitors daily, through computers and mobile phones.
§ So far, the platform has received about 900,000 requests to switch from accounting for electricity consumption by the practice system to code meters for a number of real estate units, amounting to about 2,135 million units (2 million and 135 thousand real estate units).
§ The requests included all the nine electricity distribution companies, and the companies will continue to complete the operational procedures required to install the meters.
§ The platform also receives a large number of inquiries and is answered directly, through the inquiries and complaints service on the electronic platform.
Dr. Shaker stressed the need to pay attention to the speed, accuracy and clarity of responding to citizens' inquiries and resolving their complaints.
He also stressed that the platform will continue to receive requests for switching from accounting for electricity consumption by the practice system to code meters until the end of this November.
This comes within the framework of the interest that the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy attaches to improving and facilitating services provided to citizens at the level of the Republic.
