The Egyptian and African Women's Foundation for Development and Services, headed by Dr. Nagwa Ibrahim, is holding its monthly cultural salon entitled "Challenge and Creativity" in celebration of the International Day of Disability, organized by the Foundation's Cultural Committee headed by Major General Hisham Farag, at 6 pm on Thursday, December 10, at the Foundation's headquarters in Maadi.
The salon comes within the activities of the Cultural Foundation, which aims to achieve what the Foundation seeks to do with its full potential in engaging the Egyptian community to keep pace with international events, and to shed light on the most important societal issues and topics that the state cares about. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, gives them special attention.
Dr. Venus Fouad, the Foundation’s Cultural Advisor, indicated that the salon discusses invisible disabilities, movement and mental disabilities and their relationship to creativity through a scientific discussion of specialists in this field, in addition to hosting honorable models of people of determination who have achieved successes in various fields, as well as discussing how to treat art and methods of discovery. The salon is hosted by Dr. Hanaa Zaidan, Professor of Psychology and Head of Art Therapy Unit at the Faculty of Art Education at Helwan University, Dr. Osama Farouk Mostafa, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Special Education, Misr University for Science and Technology, Dr. Shadia Kamal El-Din, President of the "Mayen" Foundation for People with Disabilities, and Mustafa Nofal, the first Egyptian model. One of the defiant people with disabilities, Dr. Thoraya Hamed, Professor of Painting and Photography at the Faculty of Art Education at Helwan University, and the journalist Dr. Abdel Baset Azab, President of the Arab Media Center for People with Disabilities.
