Based on the directives of Major General / Abdel Hamid Al Hajjan, Governor of Qalyubia, Mrs. Iman Rayan, Deputy Governor of Qalyubia, yesterday conducted a field tour to inspect the "National Project for Rehabilitation and Lining of Canals" in the local unit in Baddah, Banha, Qalyubia.
Eng. Bilal Abdel Qader, Director General of Irrigation in Qalyubia and Abdel Fattah, Head of the Local Unit in Baddad, participated in the tour. The canals of Azmakh, which are being lined within the project with a length of 3 km and 300 meters, at a total cost of 7 million pounds, participated in the tour, where the work was started on 5_10_2020 and will be completed on 4_10_2021 This came in the presence of Eng. The deputy governor explained that there are 96 kilometers of canals in Benha city, which will be rehabilitated within the national project for the rehabilitation of canals at a total cost of 400 million pounds.
As 10 operations are being carried out with lengths of 77 kilometers, at a cost of 245 million pounds, in addition, 82 kilometers will be assigned to Kafr Shukr engineering at a cost of 280 million pounds.
Rayan indicated that there are 310 kilometers of canals in Qalyubia, which will be rehabilitated as part of the national project for the rehabilitation of canals (tamping + concrete) as a first stage.
