Sarah Senjab, obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the French Language Department, began practicing the art of crochet designs at the age of nineteen years when she was a student in the second year of the university stage.
Her skill and her abilities grew through the Internet, through which she acquired new methods that she flexed herself with experiences, training and attempts until she started implementing children's coats and clothes and then she turned to bridal design.
Sarah Senjab tells “Sabah Masr” about her love for the world of handicrafts, especially designs or crochet crafts, saying: “I loved crochet for a reason, and I can do something very valuable by twisting strings and a needle, as the subject was very interesting to Al Nabali.
Sarah Senjab uses many different materials and threads, such as acrylic, which does not help to damage brides, as well as the copper armor with which Amigrom brides are designed to help them with flexibility and ease of movement. She adds, using threads for embroidery and times, using a fabric to wear brides and colors of fabric.
Her mother encouraged her, and she used to bring her strings and push her to achievement and creativity, as well as always choose the shapes and colors of brides for her, until her talent for practice and experimentation developed and her keenness to be more accurate than her predecessors, especially as she loves attention to details and following the colors of nature as she draws her colors from her, and adds, the talent developed With me with time, I strive to ensure that every bride will be sweeter and more accurate than the one before her, especially that I love attention to details .. I always watch the colors around me, so every thing is nature, cartoons and children’s wear .. I used to depend on them and on my imagination, a distortion of color coordination.
Sarah Senjab considers crochet a hobby for her
She found a great welcome and a dazzling admiration from her followers on social media when she posted pictures of her designs, and she adds, crochet is a hobby .. When I began to offer my brides on social media, I received a great welcome and some people ask me to make them brides .. I cannot say that it is a source of income. Because these brides take a lot of time and are expensive, so the prices are higher than any imported brides, so the demand for them will not be permanent.
Sarah Senjab wishes that there will be interest in handicrafts not from the point of sale but in terms of appreciation for these works. Sarah tells about an insult that she was exposed to by a female journalist because of the high price of brides and she was accused of exploitation, and she adds,
My soul is interested in hand med more than in terms of selling in terms of appreciation and respect .. Because I was insulted by a journalist before that just because the prices of brides are high .. She accused me of exploitation and said that the hand med is something that you deserve to pay money on it and that it is just brides and salvation....
